It’s Met Gala time again, and you know, I couldn’t wait to see all of the jaw-dropping beauty lewks from our favorite celebrities! The fashion is normally avant-garde, but the glam can go either way. We usually see celebs keep their hair and makeup simple and understated to let the garments shine, or they’ll go all out for a full-on red carpet moment. Regardless, we’re checking for all of it as we watch the arrivals on our TV screens – and turn into the next coming of Joan Rivers. You know what they say: fashion may fade, but the photos of the glam are forever.
This year’s theme was “Garden of Time” inspired by the 1962 short story, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”, by English writer J.G. Ballard. From Zendaya’s bouquet headpiece to match her intricate floral gown, to Doja Cat’s Metallica tears to complement her wet cotton dress, the red carpet saw Celebrities doing their best to steal the spotlight. There were some definite hits and misses, but because we try to keep it positive around here, we will only be featuring our favorite hair and makeup looks to grace the stairs of the Met.
