I had the distinct pleasure of attending the 50th-anniversary celebration for Balmain Paris Hair Couture at The Standard Hotel East Village Penthouse, and let me tell you—it was a night to remember. From the moment I stepped off the elevator and into the stunningly decorated penthouse, the glamour and luxury of the Balmain brand were on full display. The room was adorned with gorgeous photo shoots featuring their iconic styles, not to mention rows of their beloved hair products from the Balmain DNA Collection, perfectly encapsulating their 50-year legacy.
One of the highlights for me was getting up close and personal with their Balmain Signature Hair Perfume—talk about opulent! Every spray transported me to a world of pure sophistication. I was also excited to marvel at the perfectly placed wigs, which showcased just how versatile and chic their products truly are.
But let’s not forget the party vibes! Balmain Hair truly knows how to celebrate in style, and they pulled out all the stops. Signature cocktails like the simply addictive “1974” (a nod to the year Balmain Hair was founded) and the “Heritage Spritz” were flowing, and there was a fantastic photo booth that took fun black-and-white snaps, complete with a “1974” watermark—a perfect keepsake from the night.
In attendance at the event was none other than Balmain Hair Brand Ambassador Gonn Kinoshita and International Brand Communication Manager Sander Theeboom, whose creativity and talent have added serious value to the brand over the years and kept Balmain Hair at the top of the luxury hair game. Guests even left with a chic gift bag, which included a sleek Balmain journal, a Legacy Slide hair accessory, and a signature Balmain candle—perfect for indulging in a little extra luxury at home.
Balmain Hair has been elevating the luxury hair game since 1974. With their thoughtfully curated DNA Collection, they’ve proven why they’re the go-to for professionals and fashionistas. Here’s to 50 more years of luxury, innovation, and—of course—flawless hair!
