Women’s clothing brand Windsor held its Summer Press Preview Event at its SoHo store on May 23rd. Leading up to the event, I was very excited to see their latest styles for the sunny season. Once at the establishment, I had the pleasure of meeting the company’s Vice President of Marketing, Catherine Seaton, who guided me around the shop and told me about their latest collection.
“You’ll see a lot of linen, a lot of floral dresses… lots of eyelet and lace, obviously for the summer, which is really nice,” Seaton described. Looking at the range of clothing, it was obvious that uber-feminine clothing would be characteristic of their upcoming collections. Their most romantic and dainty gowns incorporated delicate colors like baby blue, light pink, and white.
However, various tight tops and flowy bottoms were colored warmly in vibrant oranges and romantic red tones. However, if you consider yourself more of a neutral person, don’t worry, Windsor’s latest pieces carry several girly garments in these tints too. “Not everybody wants to wear a super bright color… so you see, we got a lot of olives and greens and tans… still really nice and light for the summer, but just a little bit more neutral,” said Seaton.
Sexy body-con dresses in mini to ankle lengths were a staple. Breezy front cut-out gowns, ideal for the warmer months, exhibited beautiful floral prints, resulting in soft, feminine gowns. Many of these novel garments used embellishments like beads, cotton-covered buttons, and bows, creating a beautiful coquette aesthetic. This particular style is especially popular on one of Gen Z’s favorite social media platforms, TikTok. I pictured how many of these dresses, cute handbags, and girly accessories can easily be a part of a coquette GRWM or shopping haul.
Windsor’s latest collections include many stylish, feminine, and beachy garments that can be worn for many occasions. Their lacey, sweet dresses conjured up images of ladies running through flower fields basking under the hot summer sun. Their two-piece sets and dresses mentally took me to the tropics, walking by the shore, delighting in a weekend getaway.
Windsor is beginning to release its newest summer outfits this week and will continuously roll out new ones in the following weeks. Prices for many of these dresses fall between $40-70, a considerable difference from other retailers. “…We really tried to make fashion accessible from a price point perspective,” mentioned Seaton.
The latest styles are ideal for women who enjoy feminine and trendy looks but may be especially attractive to fashionistas who adore the coquette aesthetic.
