Tanner Fletcher hosted their runway presenting their Spring 2024 collection earlier on Tuesday, September 12. Entitled, “Beauty Pageant,” co-founders Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell showcased a modern take on the beauty pageant through 31 creative looks. The brand also uniquely collaborated with The Miss Universe Organization, with the collection and runway living and breathing for the theme.
The show was displayed in a beauty pageant style, in which a host announced every look and described the model while they walked the runway. The final look was walked by none other than Miss Universe 2022 winner R’Bonney Gabriel. Dressed in a cream ball gown that hit just above the ankle, the look tied off Tanner Fletcher’s new collection nicely.
One of the main themes among this year’s collection was that of a purple flowers against a white fabric. Yet, the usually feminine look wasn’t just put on fancy dresses, but also used among many of the male models’ looks. Through this, Tanner Fletcher ignored traditional gender stereotypes and opted for a unique approach to the beauty pageant. The diversity among not just the clothes, but the models’ age, height, and race thoughtfully displayed the brand’s ethos in a tasteful way.
This year, Tanner Fletcher is a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist and this is the brand’s third showing at New York Fashion Week. Prices for the new collection will range from $200 to $7000. Make sure to look out on the Tanner Fletcher website when they become available!
