Evan Hirsch SS2025 Presentation

The master of convertible fashion, Evan Hirsch, presented his Spring/Summer 2025 collection inspired by his childhood home. With his parents selling his childhood home in Long Island, Evan was mourning the loss of the place of his youth, a place where he sought comfort. He realized he would only be able to rely on photographs to remember things like the wallpaper in the kitchen or the curtains in his room. The designer’s visual cues hold meaningful importance in his mental inventory and continue influencing his work today.

Not letting go of the fabrics of his early life, Evan gathered them all and used them as the foundations of his SS25 collection. Patterns that once adorned his sister’s bedroom windows have transformed into a strapless mini-dress with a bow at the waist. His mother’s kitchen drapes are now a two-piece day ensemble. Evan even created a ballgown out of pillows from his grandmother, proving that his creativity is endless.

“When my parents put my childhood home up for sale in June of this year, I was heartbroken. Going through all of my accumulated possessions and mementos was difficult,” says Evan Hirsch. “But even worse was watching all of the details that made my home unique were ripped from walls, shelves, and cabinets. Then, I decided to pay tribute to home the best way I knew how, through my designs.”

In addition to Evan’s designs, he partnered with MiaDonna, The Eco Diamond Company, to show a 21.06-carat Emerald cut diamond on several of his ensembles. The diamond, which was nearly 19mm x 13mm x 9mm in size, left the audience in awe.

The Evan Hirsch SS25 Collection was a gorgeous presentation with a heartwarming backstory. Anyone who has had to say goodbye to their childhood home knows how difficult it is to let go. Hopefully, this collection has inspired others who have gone through a similar time.

XOXO,
