The Future of Nail Curing Is Here, and I Found It in the Bronx

I popped into my neighborhood nail shop in the Bronx for a quick UV gel fill-in, before heading to New Orleans, and ended up having a full-on beauty tech moment I did not see coming.

Everything was business as usual: nail art picked, cuticles pushed back, and then my nail tech pulled out this futuristic UV lamp that looked like something straight out of The Jetsons. It’s called the O Nail AI Smart Lamp, and I’ve never seen anything like it.

As soon as I slipped my hand inside, I could see my fingers on a screen built right into the lamp. Not a reflection, but a live video of my actual hand. I know, right? It even had touchscreen options on the display. The text was in Chinese, but shoutout to my good friend Mengya for translating. She told me it said “AI only on the nails, to avoid skin aging.” Okay, love that.

Then the screen switched to showing little video clips while my nails cured. I couldn’t believe it. This is not your mama’s UV lamp. The AI tech detects your nails and cures the gel more precisely, helping reduce unnecessary light exposure to your skin.

The O Nail lamp is designed in Japan, manufactured in China, and slowly popping up in salons across New York. It’s sleek, smart, and honestly makes the whole nail process feel so much more elevated and fun. I’m already looking forward to my next appointment just to use it again. Not even kidding.

Would you try this smart O Nail AI lamp, besties? Let me know!

XOXO,

Your Beauty Bestie
