Alessandra Ambrosio Shines at Manish Malhotra’s Couture Party

Introducing India’s first-ever couture party, Manish Malhotra transformed the traditional runway into an immersive experience. Held at the Taj Palace in New Delhi, models drifted through the crowd wearing looks from his latest collection, INAYA. This night of couture, music, and art unfolded into an unforgettable showcase.

Alongside the living showcase, the evening featured a luxurious presentation of iconic archival masterpieces. From MET Gala looks to legendary Bollywood film costumes, the exhibit followed the designer’s evolution and concluded with a dazzling display of Manish Malhotra High Jewelry. Adding to this once-in-a-lifetime experience was a line-up of electric female performers: Jonita Gandhi, DJ Kayan, and Lush Lata.

Looking into the line, INAYA redefined evening wear for the modern woman. First sketched in the home of Malhotra, these cocktail couture looks featured swirl skirts, fluid drapes, sculpted embellishments, and contoured gowns. On the flip side, INAYA for men explored cropped bandhgalas, sculpted tuxedos, and tailored suits, remolding today’s formal dressing. From sculptural brooches to statement earrings, each look was complemented with timeless elegance by Manish Malhotra High Jewelry.

The official muse of the night, Alessandra Ambrosio, celebrated her first-ever collaboration with an Indian designer. Taking command of the room, the Brazilian model wore two stunning looks for the showcase. Beginning with The Lady Crystal Diamond, this first look featured crystal embroidery and structured draping. The ensemble captured the essence of the evening, immediately becoming the hot topic of the season.

For her second look, The Pearl Story highlighted pearls and sequins, with a structured crinoline skirt paired with a layered tulle corset. Furthering the theme of female empowerment, Alessandra was accompanied by her 16-year-old daughter, setting an example of women supporting women.

A celebration of glamour and femininity, Manish Malhotra’s Couture Party set the standard for the future of Indian couture. As the designer himself said, “After over five and a half years, coming back to India Couture Week felt incredibly special and I knew I didn’t want to return with just another show. It had to be personal. It had to be different. So we reimagined everything.”
