Alexander King Chen’s Dramatic Telling of Good vs. Evil

On September 13, celebrity designer Alexander King Chen debuted his newest collection in Midtown, Manhattan. Entitled “Good vs. Evil,” this is Chen’s first solo runway show during New York Fashion Week.

Chen is known for his dramatic flair on the runway, and this season didn’t disappoint in that department. Set with an enormous backdrop of Gothic churches and corresponding music, aptly, the looks were either black and white, representing good and evil symbolically. The bold makeup, avant-garde shapes and silhouettes, and eerie performance of the show truly brought the collection together. “This collection is my most personal yet,” Chen said in a statement. “It’s about the ongoing battle between light and darkness—within ourselves and the world. It’s fashion with a soul that challenges us to re-evaluate our morality.”

What do you think of Alexander King Chen’s new collection? Let us know!
