On Tuesday, February 13, eponymous label Bishme Cromartie presented their Fall/Winter 2024 collection at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in NoMad, Manhattan. With 20 looks in total, the brand’s designs are described as what Cromartie would call “Street Garde” in the collection he named, “The Batrix.”
“Street Garde” is part of Cromartie’s style of combining streetwear and Avant Garde designs. According to him, this includes, “striking, feminine and bold shapes paired with a variety of coats, edgy tops, and form-fitting, dramatic gowns.” Pairing fabrics such as ruffles and mesh together and creating asymmetrical lines and unique shapes, Cromartie displayed clothes that were made for women who want to stand-out, no matter the occasion.
