Dell Scott Collection SS 25 designs hit the runway this past weekend, debuting Scott’s theme of “Prism,” inspired by the boldness and vibrance of the shape. The designer wasn’t afraid of using color. She created a series of outfits with a bold array of hues. Goldenrod yellows, kelly greens, and mazarine blues complimented textured of lace, satin, and sequins.
Dell Scott’s designs are easy to envision wearing on summer vacations along the Mediterranean coast. Flattering ruffles and ruching elevate the dresses, creating a simple elegance. Asymmetry creates dynamic and exciting silhouettes. For an added feminine flare, satin, and lace keep the contemporary collection timelessly charming.
The bold color choices used by Dell Scott did not deter from the beauty within the seams of her clothing, a fact duly noted by The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin. After the show, the reality TV personality talked to XOXO Fashion Mag about what she’s been loving this NYFW. “I mean, I love the color from Dell Scott. I’m loving the bursts of yellow and green. You don’t see that often, and yellow is a hard color to wear. But if you wear it right, it slays the day.”
The 25-piece collection created an immersive sensory experience. Dell Scott drew attention to all the right places on her model’s form. Deep slits to cut-out necklines enhanced silhouettes, maintaining elegance in the simultaneous appreciation for women. This comes as no surprise considering the designer’s struggles with self-love growing with eczema that led to scarring. Dell Scott’s passion for empowering women goes beyond her designs. Her work with various philanthropic efforts is dedicated to helping women, such as Go Red for Women.
The designer concluded the show by sharing the intended message of the collection: “Live life to the fullest. Live each and every day…like it is your last, and don’t ever take a day for granted.”
