G-SHOCK Celebrates 40th Anniversary in Style

Watch manufacturer G-Shock by Casio celebrate its 40th anniversary on Thursday, November 9, at the Manhattan Center in New York City. The brand, known for durability and advanced technology, celebrated the milestone with a press conference and concert from best-selling Latin artist J Balvin.

The press conference featured many accomplished speakers in the tech space, most notably Mr. Ibe, the creator of G-Shock. Mr. Ibe delivered the keynote address, where he unveiled “Dream Project #2,” a luxury, 18K gold, AI-designed timepiece. This new product includes the most recent developments in watchmaking technology and will be auctioned off at PHILLIPS on December 9 and 10.

The event welcomed special guests such as Ja Rule, Jojo Simmons, Alexandra Richards, Luis Guzman, Valentina Ferrer, and more. Post-press conference, these guests and everyone else in attendance were treated to a thrilling visual and musical performance from J Balvin. His performance perfectly encapsulated the brand’s dedication to pushing boundaries and embracing innovation in the tech and fashion space.

The first G-Shock watch hit the streets of Japan in 1983. Since then, the brand has made a huge name for itself in the global fashion and tech market. For 40 years, Mr. Ibe has been creating the toughest watches of all time, and we cannot wait to see what the brand accomplishes next.
