Gaurav Gupta Unveils Bridal Couture Show

On August 8 in Mumbai, couturier and celeb designer Gaurav Gupta made a historic debut for his bridal couture line. Titled Quantum Entanglement, the collection celebrates the sacredness of wedding vows. Taking the journey of a modern Indian wedding, the show took over 500 guests from the cocktail hour to the reception.

In partnership with Chivas Luxe Collective Perfumes, the designer used fashion storytelling to translate wedding rituals into couture. The show opened with signature cocktail and reception ensembles, saree gowns, sculpted lehengas, and intricately engineered gowns flowed down the runway. Colors ranging from soft blush to champagne gold, and from obsidian black to electric blue, deepened the story. Handwoven brocades, embroidered with crystal webs, hand-cut florals, gilded zari, and antique jewelry–inspired details, showcased exceptional precision. Precious stones, woven textures, and futuristic silhouettes were elevated by Indian textile mastery.

Tailoring for the modern groom, menswear pieces embraced sculptural sharpness. In darker hues, classic tuxedos, bandhgalas, and jackets were reimagined with unexpected handwoven lapels, animal-inspired embroidery, and cosmic embellishments. Gupta also unveiled his first-ever groomswear capsule: ten meticulously crafted ceremonial looks in pearl, blush quartz, and ivory tones, each defined by polished architectural lines.

Finally, the ten-piece bridal segment reflected the designer’s reimagined personal memories. Shining rich vermilion lehengas and cathedral-style veils amplified silhouettes while honoring tradition. A pastel palette came alive with 3D embroideries and beadwork, including over 60,000 bugle beads, zardozi florals, and embedded Preciosa glass crystals. These otherworldly details gave the bride an ethereal essence, making her feel empowered and timeless.

Exclusive Partners

Closing the show, icons Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra embodied Gupta’s vision, styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania. In partnership with Chivas Luxe Collective, the runway radiated with bold statements and modern luxury. Other collaborators included beauty by Nykaa Luxe, soft yet sharp hair by Kérastase, and over 30 diamond pieces from Forevermark. A highlight of the evening was a historic collaboration with Italian luxury maison René Caovilla. Set to launch in January 2026, the seven-piece capsule marks René Caovilla’s first-ever collaboration with an Indian designer.
