On Friday, February 9, founder and designer Nardos Imam of Nardos presented her Fall/Winter 2024 collection on the runway. Held at the Lotos Club in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York, Imam created 54 looks in total: 27 ready-to-wear, and 27 couture.
This season, Imam drew inspiration from fine art and history. According to her, this collection is a “reviving [of the] Gilded Age elegance with a modern twist, infused with exotic bird-inspired vibrancy.” With heavy evening fabrics, Imam’s pieces were draped extravagantly, seamlessly fitting the opulence of the historical time period. She then added a contemporary edge with popping fabrics and pieces beaded and embroidered with colorful plants and elegant birds.
Imam designs haute couture, ready-to-wear, bridal, and accessories. Check out her website here to learn more.
