The new Jil Sander Spring/Summer 2024 collection was revealed during Milan Fashion Week SS24. Presented by the designers, Luke and Lucie Meier, the collection gave off a sense of sophistication and innovation. There were many stars in attendance, like theater producer Jordan Roth and actors Anna Diop, Damson Idris, and Keri Russel. There were also musical talents who made an appearance, such as Italian singer Giovanni Caccamo, music producer Benji B, and musicians SAINt JHN and Ama Lou. Other guests included model Paloma Elsesser, professional athlete Victor Cruz, celebrity stylist Karla Welch, and so many more.
The designs of the collection used different innovations and shapes to transform dresses, coats, jackets, pants, and more to dive into a fresh modern fashion design. The suits for both men and women consisted of long and short high waisted trousers and boxy coats and jackets. The vests have cut outs of circles in silver metal rings, shapes being an evident part of the designs. Some dresses had a tight knit top with a flared skirt, while others were more free-flowing. Each model was accessorized with jewels, whether it be a necklace or earrings or both.
The color palette consisted mainly of white, cream, pinks, greens, and blues. However, there was also a darker side to color palette with black, grays, and browns to show some more edge to the designs. This collection looks to the future by blending technology and fashion to reinvent each piece of clothing.
