Pride month is here, and it is important to show love and support for the LGBTQ community. As someone who loves finding new skin and beauty products, here are some LGBTQ-owned brands to support!
KimChi Chic Beauty
If you watch RuPaul’s Drag Race, then you’ve heard of KimChi and her artistic makeup talents. As a watcher of the show, I was excited to come across this beauty brand. KimChi Chic Beauty sells a variety of fun makeup products from palettes to lip plumpers, each coming in glittery rainbow colors or neutrals.
Trixie Cosmetics
Another beauty brand founded by a drag superstar, Trixie Cosmetics creates high-quality cosmetic products for anyone and everyone alike. Each product comes in a wide range of formulas and colors to fit your aesthetic and evoke confidence. My favorite part about this brand is the playful packaging each product appears in, making a vibrant addition to your makeup collection.
Fempower Beauty
Known for their long-lasting lipsticks and colors, Fempower Beauty creates bold lip products for those who are on their self-love journey. This lesbian-owned beauty brand aims for inclusivity and empowerment through its cosmetic products.
Jecca Blac
The gender-free beauty line, Jecca Blac, formulates cosmetic products for all makeup wearers to celebrate each individual’s uniqueness. Founded by Jessica Blackler to create a safe space for trans women to experiment with makeup, the cosmetic brand has expanded to a vegan and cruelty-free label that formulates a wide collection of products from beard cover makeup to their renowned glow drops.
about – face
If using clean and vegan-formulated products is important to you, then you may want to take a look at about-face. The cosmetic line is very mindful of what they put in their products, avoiding any harmful ingredients and even follows EU beauty standards. Founded by musician Halsey, the brand makes innovative and fun cosmetics for all artistic makeup wearers.
NOTO Botanics
Founded by professional makeup artist Gloria Noto, NOTO Botanics uses plant-based ingredients in order to create multi-use cosmetic and skincare products. This conscious, beauty skincare brand formulates each product for all skin types so that every person’s skin can feel fresh and revitalized.
Alder New York
Designed for any gender, Alder New York uses a balanced plant and science-based approach to skincare. The queer and woman-owned skincare line, by Nina Zilka and David Krause, formulates each skincare product to leave the skin clear and healthy.
non gender specific
Making fragrances, jewelry, and skincare, non gender specific is a brand that commits to inclusivity and making an overall positive impact within the beauty realm. The skincare label formulates their products using botanical-rich ingredients that are quickly absorbed by the skin, leaving it light and nourished for the day or night.
Common Heir
Both plastic and silicone-free, this sustainable skincare brand uses clean ingredients to produce effective skincare for all skin types. Founded by Cary Lin and Angela Ubias in 2020, Common Heir creates smooth and silky serums to give the skin a bright, hydrated feel.
I definitely think I am going to try some of these products, and I hope you find some skincare or makeup products intriguing from these LGBTQ-owned brands. Have a Happy Pride Month and don’t forget to love yourself and practice some self-care!
XOXO,
Your Fashion Bestie
