Maui X Lolita, the dynamic mother-daughter fashion powerhouse, captivated audiences with their Spring/Summer 2025 collection on Friday evening at New York Fashion Week. This season’s show, which took place at 7 p.m., marked a significant milestone for the brand, showcasing its largest collection and solidifying its status as an NYFW brand to watch.

The evening began with a pre-cocktail hour at 6 p.m., setting the stage for the much-anticipated runway show. Following the showcase, guests enjoyed an exclusive after-party to celebrate the launch of Maui X Lolita’s latest collection and mark the end of the first day of New York Fashion Week.

V.I.P. attendees included celebrities and influencers, such as media personality Jeetendr Sehdev, singer Summer Dennis, choreographer Kiel Tutin, Real Housewives of Miami star Guerdy Abrira, and actress Morgan Dudley. Their presence underscored the high profile of the event and the impact of Maui X Lolita’s newest collection on the fashion world.

This was Maui X Lolita’s fourth NYFW show, which unveiled an impressive 52-piece collection featuring an exciting range of styles, including a new menswear capsule and an expanded size range now offering XL. The show, which highlighted the brand’s commitment to inclusivity and innovation, truly celebrated fashion in its boldest form.

The runway show was opened with an electrifying performance by the iconic House of LaBeija, famously known as the first house of ballroom. The performance was masterfully led by Kiddie LaBeija, with House mother Samil LaBeija making a striking appearance in a custom Maui X Lolita ensemble.

The runway also featured an array of high-profile models and personalities. London-based model and presenter Amel Rachedi, known for her hit show Brunch with Amel, flew across the pond to grace the runway, adding an international flair to the evening. Her presence, along with other notable figures, added a touch of glamour and star power to the event.

In a bold move, Maui X Lolita introduced a “see-now-buy-now” approach, making 10 select pieces available for purchase immediately after the show. This innovative strategy reflects the brand’s commitment to merging runway excitement with real-time customer access to the pieces.

Maui Malone, co-founder of the brand, shared her vision for the collection: “At MxL, we see all of you, every Fly Girl and Guy out there. We see your energy, your style, and the way you own every room. It’s your time to step into the spotlight and claim your power. This collection was designed to take you even further on your journey to greatness. We wanted to create something for everyone, a collection that makes you feel confident and completely you.”

Lolita Malone, the other half of this creative duo, added, “This collection focuses on the Fly Girls and Guys who know exactly how fly they are; bold, fearless, and never one to blend in. We represented all demographics of the Fly Girl and showed that age does not have to limit your style. For spring/summer, we created the ultimate dream closet: vibrant prints, silky satin sets, sleek muted suits, sequin denim, and flirty floral dresses. It’s all about being unapologetically you.”

As the fashion crowd danced into the night, it was clear that Maui X Lolita’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection has set the bar high for the season. With its bold designs and inclusive vision, the brand continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to be a fashion-forward individual.
