KOLTSON, by Robert Rodriguez, is a luxury eveningwear collection focusing on exceptional sustainable fabrics, beautifully handcrafted details, and uncompromising quality. The marriage of high fashion and art has fascinated for decades and continues to impact cultures around the world. Through collaborations with artists and artisans, KOLTSON brings a common thread between masters of their crafts.
From Proenza Schouler, who re-evaluated the concept of art as fashion, to KOLTSON and Ulla Johnson who partnered with painters for their collections, art and fashion collided in a very deliberate way this season.
KOLTSON’s prints, silhouettes, color palate, and fabrications were inspired by founder Robert Rodriguez’s collaboration with abstract expressionist, Vicky Barranguet. They collaborated on a series of canvases titled DANCE which he reinterpreted and served as the foundation for his Spring 2024 Collection.
KOLTSON is made with certified and natural fabrics, including FSC Certified cady crepe and silky viscose jersey. The cotton and voile is sourced from Italy and woven at a family-owned mill that meets the highest European standards, using nontoxic dyes and responsible manufacturing. Silk textiles were chosen for their natural and biodegradable properties, while the ostrich feathers are cruelty-free, eco-friendly, and biodegradable.
