Sergio Hudson’s SS26 show was a vivid dance with nostalgia: bold, structured, and drenched in color. He balanced sharp tailoring with moments of romantic softness, all through the lens of classic references and high-fashion drama.
The color palette was an intentionally dreamy one: pastels like lilac, robin’s egg blue, butter yellow, and mint green. These colors weren’t just soft—they glowed under the runway lights, offering levity to Hudson’s usual architectural rigor.
Hudson leaned into strong shoulders and stiff silhouettes that felt like armor. Tailoring was clean and bold: double-breasted suits, sharp lapels, and cinched waists contrasted with relaxed elements like pulled-up sleeves and softened hems.
Even the evening wear had structure—sequined gowns weren’t just fluid drapes but more statuesque, with elements that held shape and form. Sometimes Hudson broke his own rules: he allowed more relaxed knit tees tucked into silken skirts or dresses with softer lines, but always with a contrast to his core sharp tailoring.
There were also retro touches: Peter Pan collars, capped sleeves, vintage-inspired shapes. These stretched back to 60s elegance but were married to Hudson’s modern, powerful women’s wardrobe.
Adding to the buzz, Olandria Carthen (Love Island USA Season 7 runner-up) walked the runway tonight. Her presence added a fresh celebrity moment to the show, reinforcing the collision of reality-star glamour and high fashion.
