The new Timeless Legacy collection created by South Korean fashion designer Son Jung Wan was unveiled on February 10th during New York Fashion Week in the Starrett-Lehigh Building, located in the Chelsea area of Manhattan.
The brand, known for its refined and sophisticated looks, correlated nicely with the simplistic yet bright stage. As each model strutted down the runway, it was hard not to embrace the unique and intriguing vibe each exuded. The pieces of this new collection are composed of retro motifs with futuristic aspects, formulating an eye-catching and eclectic look.
We had the opportunity to chat with Son Jung Wan backstage about her newest assemblage. “I created my new elegance,” she stated. Further explaining that the collection involves “…a mixture of timeless classic and futuristic details such as luxurious feminine flowers, power dressing, and romantic attributes.” She mentioned her latest designs include more colors and take on a more powerful appearance compared to her previous works.
The Timeless Legacy collection showcases pieces that seemingly say about the wearer “I’m proud of who I am” and indeed emit capability, aligning with Son Jung Wan’s desire for people to feel confident in her clothes. Other garments offer more eccentricity and include many hints of peculiarity.
From scintillating structured shoulder dresses to coats with oversized sleeves, this latest installment left us wondering about the evolution of what elegance will become in the upcoming years.
XOXO,
