On Giving Tuesday, November 28, The Giving Movement celebrated the opening of its first-ever U.S. pop-up shop. Sitting in SoHo, New York City, the pop-up will be around from November 24th to December 21st.

The Giving Movement

The Giving Movement is a Dubai-based brand that creates sustainable clothes, including athleisure and streetwear. Fabrics are made from recycled materials, such as old fishing nets and carpets, which are combined to create a butter-soft fabric that is super comfortable, breathable, and makes you look good.

The pop-up in New York City features two collections carefully selected for the U.S. audience by the brand’s Head of Production, Lisa Robertson. The first collection is called “Varsity,” and has a neat, more contemporary look. The pieces give a casual vibe, but a less extravagant street style and more of a clean look. One of the highlights of the “Varsity” collection is the ribbed jogger and jacket set, perfect for traveling. “If you go to Dubai Airport, sometimes I feel like it’s sponsored by TGM,” Lisa said. “Everyone is wearing it!”

The second collection at The Giving Movement’s pop-up is the “Explorer” collection. “It’s more utilitarian, but a slight army twist too,” Lisa said. Many of the pieces in this collection are made of 100% organic cotton. The fabric is thick and not too flimsy, giving structure to the collection’s t-shirts and cargo pants without being too heavy. Camo prints are also prominent in the “Explorer” collection.
