PatBo presented her Spring 2024 collection “Tropicalia” at New York Fashion Week on Saturday, September 9. Inspired by the 1970s Brazilian artistic movement, “Tropicalia” brings dreamy, effortless glamor for the sophisticated free spirit.

The show debuted 38 looks, each one culminating in a celebration of natural beauty. Guests were similarly clad in spunky yet sophisticated garments, and celebrities such as Elizabeth Gillies and Ego Nwodim were even in attendance.

The line embraced curves, earthy textures, vibrant yellow and purple hues, glowy skin, and sleek yet weightless hairstyles, creating an image of a spirited Brazilian woman who just stepped off the beach.

While the collection embraces natural, effortless beauty, do not call “Tropicalia” minimalist. Lush fabrics, hand-beading and embroidery, and flowing trains created an enticing mixture of rock-and-roll influence reminiscent of electric Rio nights, all while keeping the tropical influence.

With everyone a part of the show sharing the same vision of celebrating Brazilian art and culture, each look exploded with immense passion. “Tropicalia” was nothing short of breathtaking, leaving everyone with a taste of what makes Patricia Bonaldi and her home country of Brazil so special. Visit their website to learn more about the brand and shop the looks and don’t forget to check our coverage of Backstage at PatBo!
