Sandy Liang showed another gorgeously romantic, yet sultry collection at the Cooper Hewitt Museum on September 10th.
Liang’s SS24 collection, named “The Virgin Suicides” in homage to Sofia Coppola’s directorial debut, hits with a touch of trending Barbiecore, but includes some more classic shapes. We see this through Liang’s mixed textures with the incorporation of tulle and suiting, as well as satin and across garments, accessories and footwear. Liang’s own satin Mary Janes were a prominent talking point and worn by several VIPs attending the show. Unapologetically feminine, but served with an element of bad b*tch attitude, Liang’s collection is perfect for the fiery fashion girlie.
