Exploring the Story Behind America & Beyond

A global brand rooted in artistry and culture, America & Beyond creates for free-spirited women. From beaded handbags to flowy dresses, each piece is handmade down to every last detail. CEO Mohit Juneja has followed in the footsteps of his grandfather and father, continuing the family’s vision while bringing his own perspective to the brand.

Now in its third generation, the brand has experimented with a variety of fabrics like cotton, jacquard, and polyester. While keeping sustainability at the forefront, America & Beyond has turned to cotton as one of its signature materials, with every piece produced in-house. Community, craftsmanship, and care remain at the center of the design process, as Juneja explains:

“My grandfather was into textiles. He was into fabrics… Not only am I in the third generation, but the artisans working in this company are also in the third generation, because India has this culture where the son does what the father has done and the father does what their father has done.”

With everything from manufacturing to design being in-house, family continues to play an important role in the brand’s identity. Juneja’s wife and sister both design for the company, with his sister, Parul Juneja, serving as co-founder and creative director.

“My sister is a designer. She’s the creative director. And my wife, we got married three years ago; she actually studied at Parsons, New York, and she’s herself a designer… They both lead the creative team of the company.”

Today, America & Beyond is available in over 5,000 active boutique stores across the U.S., with designs available at retailers including Dillard’s and Aqua, as well as collaborations with brands such as Free People, Farm Rio, and Urban Outfitters. With sizing ranging from extra small to 4X, the brand focuses on inclusivity and comfort. While currently focusing on womenswear, America & Beyond is expanding into new categories, with a baby collection presently in the works. Juneja’s wife and sister are working on a mommy-and-me line following the birth of his daughter and son.

For Juneja, maintaining control over the entire production process and respecting the artisans are what allow the brand to stay connected to its values. What makes them different from others is that everything is in-house. They know where and how their products are made, and by whom. As a fair trade-certified, sustainable company, they ensure they take care of the staff and artisans who work with them. This is why they have several generations working with the brand.
