From April 2 to April 4, New York Bridal Fashion Week was the place where luxury bridal designers could showcase their newest collections, and this year did not disappoint! Even though it’s over, there’s no better way to relive those romantic moments than by looking at this year’s fashion. Here are the top bridal trends for the Spring/Summer 2025 bridal season.
Black Detailing
Though the traditional bridal gown is white, it’s time for a more contemporary edge, and bridal designers have done that by including color! Of course, the obvious pinks and blues have recently been incorporated into the bridal runway, but black has made it’s appearance this season. Mixing black and white can be seen in this Ines di Santo gown, which emphasizes the contrast between black and white while also making whichever bride wears this dress look absolutely stunning.
Drop Waists
A vintage design that made a huge comeback this season, drop waist gowns give the illusion of a longer torso, contrary to many high-waist looks in recent years. Resulting in a blending of both the old and the new, designers gave this classic look a modern edge. Nardos was one of the many designers who incorporated drop waist looks, which make the wearer effortlessly elegant and chic on their special day.
Crystals
Previously, pearls have been quite popular in the bridal industry, but this season, crystals came out to shine! Adorning gowns to give that extra shimmer, beautifully studded crystals add just the right amount of glitz needed for a spectacular wedding dress. Designers like Esé Azénabor featured these shiny stones as a way to accentuate her already gorgeous dresses, a great way to make a gown even more extraordinary.
Tulle
Tulle has always been a way to add just the right amount of feminine flounce to gowns, no matter the occasion, and it seems that it was featured heavily this season. A fuller fabric that gives dresses the perfect shape, volume, and silhouette, tulle was showcased in Reem Acra‘s Spring/Summer 25 collection. The contrast in different fabrics in the corset and skirt only emphasizes the dramatic tulle skirt, a perfect touch for your wedding.
Daisies
Flowers are always featured in bridalwear, but this year, daisies were particularly popular. From appliqués to embroidery, to 3D attachments, daisies adorned nearly every designer’s gowns gracefully. Mother-and-daughter-owned brand Mira Zwillinger featured blossoms in nearly every look from their collection this season, but daisies were particularly prominent, adding an elegant dramatic finish to already beautiful dresses.
